81st PERF meeting: EVOLVING ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS & OPPORTUNITIES IN GREEN TECHNOLOGIES

BP hosted the 81st Meeting of the Petroleum Environmental Research Forum at its Sunbury International Centre for Business and Technology in UK. The theme of the meeting was  “Evolving Environmental Regulations and Opportunities for Green Technologies”. 


 

The day before the meeting was held  the PERF Board Meeting.

The Board meeting was turned on practical PERF issues, as next PERF meeting or workshop, projects follow up and website updates.

On April 8, the technical sessions included 2 tracks with at the end discussions to generate collaborative projects about opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of drilling operations and R&M Emissions Reductions.

On April 9, there are presentations about drill cuttings, E&P operations impacts, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). The meeting finished by discussions about new pre-proposals based on learnings of the meeting.

UPSTREAM and DOWNSTREAM BREAK-OUT DISCUSSIONS

The PERF organization always keep some time to have break-out discussions on Upstream and Dowstrream. It is always a good moment to share issues and ideas of research. It could lead to pre-project proposals or just informal conference calls to create new topics of research.
